TPWD Mission

To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation opportunities for present and future generations.

Job Description

This position, under the Application Development Manager, performs advanced and supervisory programming work, including designing, building, and maintaining applications, and overseeing project planning and execution. Works independently, ensuring compliance with agency rules and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Sixty semester hours from an accredited college or university
  • Seven years of full-time Java enterprise application programming experience
  • Five years in Spring Framework and React
  • Two years as a technical project lead
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Recent experience with Java, database design, Oracle, and React

Knowledge of performance, scalability, security, and current tech trends; skills in secure multi-tier Java applications.
