Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation in Avon Lake, OH, is seeking an Extruder Operator to join our on-site production team. You will produce Thermoplastic Polyurethanes on the shop floor, move materials, and ensure accurate dispatch notes in SAP while upholding safety and quality standards.

This full-time role features rotating 12-hour shifts and a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, inclusive work environment that supports growth and development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma from an accredited school or GED.
• Ability to lift 55 lb buckets, move 500 lb barrels and drive a forklift regularly.
• Willingness to serve on Emergency Response Team and complete 40 hours of annual mandatory training for at least 5 years.
• Ability to be trained on SAP to a high level of accuracy for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks safely observing Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Understand ISO 9001 concepts and applicable quality standards.
• Efficiently package and label finished product in a timely manner.
• Load trailers, complete paperwork and ship finished product without errors.
• Enter production and create dispatch notes in SAP.
• Understand polymerization equipment operation and monitor critical equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on line operations.
• Troubleshoot pelletization issues to maximize raw material efficiency.
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble polymerization lines as required.
• Complete daily housekeeping tasks.
• Serve on the Facility Emergency Response Team and Fire Brigade with 40 hours of annual training for five years.
• Identify non-conformances to minimize customer complaints.
• Assist maintenance personnel when needed.

As an Extruder Operator, you will perform tasks to produce Thermoplastic Polyurethanes on the production floor, as well as move materials and finished products throughout the facility. You\'ll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

In This Role, You Will

• Perform all tasks safely observing Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. This Includes:
• Abiding by plant and department PPE requirements.
• Following plant safety procedures and cardinal rules.
• Attending plant and department communication meetings.
• Completing all Career Essentials training requirements on time.
• Attending plant and department communication meetings.
• Participating in safety reviews and the near miss scheme.
• Understand the general concepts of ISO 9001; applicable quality standards.
• Efficiently package and label finished product in timely manner.
• Load trailers, complete paperwork and ship finished product without errors.
• Enter production and create dispatch notes in SAP.
• Understand how polymerization equipment works & monitor the performance of quality critical equipment.
• Performing basic maintenance tasks and repairs associated with line operations.
• Troubleshoot pelletization issues to maximize raw material efficiency.

Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success
