Job summary

You will collect data, maintain records, follow SOPs, and ensure traceability of crosses while supporting temporary labor during peak flowering and harvest periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in agricultural/seed production is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in agriculture, horticulture, seed production, or related fieldwork (internship acceptable).
• Strong attention to detail with steady hands for flower-level work (emasculation, hand-pollination).
• Ability to follow precise, protocol-driven procedures and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Execute seed production planting across TPS locations in the US.
• Collect pollen and perform hand-pollination according to designs and SOPs.
• Maintain production records in field books or digital tools; report data as it happens.
• Monitor flowering synchrony and berry development; flag timing issues to breeders.
• Handle berry processing, seed extraction, and labeling for storage and germination testing.
• Assist with planting, transplanting, and maintenance in field/greenhouse plots.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines; coordinate seasonal labor during peak periods.
