Job summary

Google Cloud in Austin, TX seeks a Technical Program Manager III to lead ORR initiatives for network projects, aligning design, deployment, and Day-2 support. You will coordinate across stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and effective service delivery.

You will drive SOPs, runbooks, and documentation, while managing risk, timelines, and executive communication. This role emphasizes collaboration with Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Security teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR).
• Experience with enterprise network infrastructure (routing or switching protocols, SD-WAN, spine-leaf, wireless networking, or network security).

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the Operational Readiness Review (ORR) framework.
• Partner with Network Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Security teams during early design phases.
• Ensure the creation of SOPs, troubleshooting runbooks, high/low-level designs, and failover validation playbooks.
• Conduct risk assessments for new deployments with rollback strategies and monitoring requirements.
• Define and track metrics like Time-to-Ready and Day-2 support ticket volume post-launch.
