The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a temporary, full-time worker to prepare toys for distribution through the Toyland program. Duties include unloading, sorting by age and gender, labeling boxes, and maintaining a clean work area while accurately recording toy inventories.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, good reading and basic math skills, and the ability to arrive on time and complete daily time sheets. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Responsabilités

• Prepare toys to be distributed in the Toyland Program.
• Unload bags of toys from vans and bring them to the sorting area.
• Record the number and approximate value of toys received from each site on provided inventory forms.
• Sort toys by age and gender.
• Place toys in boxes and label boxes to be brought to distribution area.
• Keep work areas clean and neat.
• Complete time sheets accurately and on time.
