Job summary

The Salvation Army in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a temporary full-time Toyland assistant to support the Toyland program. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at a compensation rate of $15.00 per hour.

This temporary position involves preparing toys, unloading donations, sorting by age/gender, and recording inventory for distribution. Candidates should be reliable, able to pass background checks, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass all background checks.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Prepare toys to be distributed in the Toyland program.
• Unload bags of toys from vans and bring them to the sorting area.
• Record the number and approximate value of toys received on inventory forms.
• Sort toys by age and gender.
• Place toys in boxes and label boxes for distribution.
• Keep work areas clean and neat.
• Complete time sheets accurately and on time.
