Nationally recognized plaintiffs’ side law firm looking for a seasoned attorney to manage and work up a docket of toxic tort product liability cases, specifically focusing on mesothelioma cases.

Job DetailsResponsibilities
  • Manage and work up a docket of mesothelioma cases, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Handle all aspects of case management from inception to trial, including document review, expert discovery, and motion practice.
  • Take and defend depositions, as well as lead the development of trial strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Travel frequently (at least weekly) to meet with clients, experts, and attend depositions and hearings.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of experience in litigation managing cases from filing to trial including some second-chair trial experience.
  • Strong deposition, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage a heavy docket with minimal supervision.
  • Asbestos experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to travel on a weekly basis.
