Qualifications

• Active California license to practice law.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Interest in developing a career in toxic tort litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned litigation matters and case deadlines.
• Represent clients on local and national accounts throughout California.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Review, analyze, and respond to discovery.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis.
• Prepare and electronically file court documents.
• Assist with trial strategy, preparation, and support.
• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Maintain accurate and timely billing and case records.
