Job description

Town of Bennington Open Position

The Town of Bennington is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Water Division - Water/Distribution System Operator for the Department of Public Works. This position primarily involves maintenance and repair of the water distribution system which includes a water filtration plant and several pump stations. Qualifications include, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, a Class 4C Vermont Water Certification or the ability to obtain one within 24 months following date of hire, and experience operating equipment is preferred.

This position pays an hourly rate of pay of $31.12 per hour and requires a valid driver's license maintained in good standing with 2 years of driving experience. A Commercial Driver's license, Class B must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. The Town will assist with education.
