Job summary

Weis Towers LLC seeks experienced tower technicians to climb towers up to 180+ ft and perform installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of wireless equipment. You will follow Foreman and Construction Manager directions, lead crew activities, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include working at heights, using Capstan Hoist, and conducting SWEEP, PIM, and Fiber Test procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clean driving record & valid driver's license.
• Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• DOT Eligible.
• Climbing Certification and Fall Protection & Rescue Training.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certificate and First Aid & CPR.
• RFS and PPC Certifications.
• Sweep & PIM Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Climb towers to install, replace, and troubleshoot wireless equipment as directed.
• Lead crew on the tower and stand by for Foreman guidance.
• Operate Capstan Hoist and tower equipment safely.
• Observe DOT regulations and NFPA standards where applicable.
• Complete tasks to keep the job on schedule and within scope.
• Review Scope of Work documents and deliver outcomes per directives.

Responsibilities

• Climb towers to lead in the installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of wireless equipment based on direction from Foreman and Construction Manager
• Able to run the top independently
• Always up the tower unless the Foreman is absent
• Proficient with Capstan Hoist
• Proficient with Gin Pole
• Learn how to SWEEP, PIM, Fiber Test, Volt Meter
• Lead the crew on the tower
• Understand and comply with DOT regulations
• Perform tasks to facilitate timely job completion
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Read Scope of Work (SOW) documents and deliver project outcomes to scope and as directed

Requirements

Qualifications

• Use hand and power tools proficiently
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team environment
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours (shift work), including nights and weekends, as needed
• Use of PM gear, SWEEP gear, Fiber Test gear, climbing gear, capstan hoist, rigging, load ropes
• Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull 75+lbs
• Work environment is outside exposed to the elements with wind noise
• Ability to work at heights of 180+ft
• Willingness to mentor/train others professionally and to be mentored/trained
