QTC Inc. is seeking a Tower Technician to join our California-based operations. You will be involved in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of rigging equipment on communication towers, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires climbing towers, identifying tools, complying with safety standards, and collaborating with teams to support wireless cell site foundations and electrical installations where applicable; high height work and physical effort are essential.

Responsibilities

• Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment
• Ability to identify the tools and materials to properly perform the scope of work within spec
• Knowledge of the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction materials, and working near energized lines and equipment
• Assist in the installation of all aspects of wireless cell site foundations, grounding and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable
• Ensure highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld
• Installation of up-top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, true up, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torque to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc.
• Responsible for tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site
• Troubleshoot and communicate equipment performance issues

Education and Experience

• 1 year of construction experience

Physical Requirements

• Physical agility, including the ability to bend, kneel, climb, and squat, with a full range of motion.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Comfortable working at significant heights.
