Job summary

Ontivity is hiring for tower installation work in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, quality installations, and hands-on cable and equipment installation at various heights, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities include rigging, labeling, testing, and documentation. Candidates should have OSHA 10 and be capable of working outdoors in all weather; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • Read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, specs and procedures.
  • Able to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Provide communication and customer service that is white-glove.
  • Current OSHA 10hr certification is a plus.
  • Must meet physical requirements in ANSI Z359 for fall protection gear.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Must value safety over all considerations.
  • Perform work on the tower ensuring safe, quality installation (rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping).
  • Install equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, antennas, cabling, labeling, and documentation.
  • Assist with coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations; ensure proper connections and weatherproofing.
  • Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, and antioxidant use; support leads and cad-welding as required.
  • Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, tool inventory.

Responsibilities
  • Must value safety over and above all other considerations
  • Perform work on the tower while ensuring that a safe, quality installation is performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping, etc.
  • Install equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, assist in shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, labeling, picture-taking, documentation
  • At the instruction of Tower Crew Leader, perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. connect coax feed lines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation
  • Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cad-welding as required, etc.
  • Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, tool inventory, etc.

Physical Demands:
  • Able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing and MVR
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 400 feet, for long periods of time
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
  • Must be able to pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time
  • Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several months at a time
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
  • Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
