Tower Maintenance Technician - Topeka, KS

Position Summary: The Tower Team at Mercury Broadband builds and services all of Mercury's tower sites. Tower maintenance technicians should be diligent and thorough, following installation and safety guidelines, and instructions from the Tower leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand the use of safety gear when working at heights up to 300ft.
• Install broadband equipment at Mercury tower sites.
• Represent the company professionally.
• Assist in new tower site construction.
• Troubleshoot broadband tower equipment.
• Resolve network outages.

Skills and Requirements:

• Comfort working on ladders, roofs, towers (up to 300'), and elevated locations.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
• Follow cabling procedures for wiring towers.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Self-motivated.
• Telecommunication experience (preferred, 1+ years).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb with up to 30 lbs. load and work at heights up to 500', mainly at 300' or less.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, stoop, crawl, squat, and lift 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good finger and hand dexterity for tool use.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
