SST Direct in Fort Worth, TX seeks an experienced Tower Crane Mechanic to perform field service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair tower cranes and related lifting equipment at active construction sites across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

This full-time role requires strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, the ability to read manuals and schematics, and willingness to travel to project locations with a two-week rotation returning home.

Formación

• Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining tower cranes or similar crane equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and crane control-system issues in a field-service environment.
• Experience working independently at active construction jobsites and safely performing equipment repairs under changing site conditions.
• Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules based on project requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on tower cranes and related crane equipment to maintain safe, reliable operation.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, structural, and control-system issues using diagnostic equipment, manuals, and tools.
• Inspect crane components (hoists, motors, gearboxes, brakes, wire ropes, bearings, hydraulics, electrical connections) for wear and failures.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions at construction jobsites and complete repairs, replacements, and testing to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, drawings, and specs to identify faults and procedures.
• Conduct operational and safety checks after maintenance to verify proper crane function and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with field service teams, crane operators, supervisors, and project personnel to schedule repairs and report status.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, repair documentation, and parts usage.
• Identify replacement parts and assist with procurement and tool/equipment maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE around heavy equipment and active sites.
