Job summary

Five Star Towing and Recovery is seeking a dependable Tow Truck Operator / Roadside Assistance Driver to perform light-duty towing and roadside services on the road. You will respond to calls, perform jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel deliveries, while maintaining safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications include a valid license with a clean driving record; towing/roadside experience is preferred but not required.

Tow Truck Operator / Roadside Assistance Driver


We are seeking a dependable and professional Tow Truck Operator / Roadside Assistance Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for performing light-duty towing and roadside assistance calls while providing safe, efficient, and professional service to our customers.


Towing experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider dependable candidates with relevant driving, automotive, mechanical, or roadside experience.


Job Duties


  • Perform light-duty towing and vehicle transport

  • Respond to roadside assistance calls, including:

  • Jump starts

  • Tire changes

  • Vehicle lockouts

  • Fuel deliveries

  • Other light-duty roadside services

  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload customer vehicles

  • Properly operate tow trucks, winches, straps, chains, dollies, and related equipment

  • Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch

  • Complete required paperwork and electronic dispatch information accurately

  • Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report truck or equipment issues

  • Maintain a clean and professional company truck

  • Follow company safety procedures and traffic laws

  • Wear required company uniform and high-visibility safety apparel

  • Handle customer vehicles and property carefully and professionally


Qualifications


  • Towing experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time

  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions in roadside situations

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with towing and roadside assistance

  • Basic automotive/mechanical knowledge is a plus

  • Must be professional and courteous when dealing with customers

  • Must be able to follow company policies and dispatch procedures

Previous towing experience is preferred.


Pay: $600.00 – $2,000.00 per week
