Job Responsibilities

1. Operate a company vehicle safely to pick up vehicles from auto auctions or private parties.
2. Load vehicles, verify loaded vehicles, collect paperwork, pay for the cars with a company check, obtain signatures from pick-up locations confirming accuracy, and deliver vehicles to the plant and related items.

Essential Job Duties

• Drive a company vehicle safely, courteously, and responsibly, avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
• Follow DOT procedures.
• Pick up vehicles at auction or private parties and load onto the company truck.
• Secure vehicles and verify the condition of the truck and load; gather associated paperwork.
• Travel to pickup destinations, verify vehicles, obtain signatures, and confirm load integrity.
• Make proper notations regarding vehicles.
• Work carefully to prevent injury or vehicle damage.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Complete annual training as assigned.
• Operate in compliance with FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Shift/Days

7:30 am, 5 days a week, including weekends.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20-$25 DOE.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Minimum six months warehouse operations experience.
• One year of commercial driving experience or certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Qualify for corporate insurance programs.
• Meet DOT testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
• At least 21 years old.

Preferred Requirements

No preferred education required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle routine problems following clear procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with moderate complexity.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Exposure to contaminants, extreme temperatures, noise, and cramped spaces.
• Travel required, including overnight stays.
