Job summary

Blue Man Group is seeking an Assistant Audio and MIT Technician for the 2026 A New Holiday Surprise tour. The role supports the Head of Audio and MIT, maintaining the show’s sound systems, musician monitoring and instruments across venues.

This hands-on position also serves as A2 when needed, with responsibilities spanning setup, mixing, playback and instrument care. The role involves travel across the United States during tour dates, with a focus on safety, teamwork and delivering consistent

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of live sound or theatre instrument tech experience.
• Experience with digital mixing consoles, playback, mics, and in‑ear monitors.
• Willingness to travel domestically Nov 2026–Dec 2026.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods.
• Touring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, tuning, maintenance, and repair of instruments and playback systems.
• Operate sound console during performances and rehearsals.
• Monitor and maintain consistent in‑ear mixes and playback quality.
• Assist with load‑ins/outs and touring prep.
• Maintain safety and documentation across shows.
