Job summary

Blue Man Group, part of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, seeks a Head of Audio & MIT for the North American tour. You will lead the Sound Department across venues, supervise the MIT and team, and ensure consistent audio quality and safety on stage.

The role requires 5+ years in live touring sound, advanced mixing/monitoring skills, and frequent travel Nov 2026–Dec 2026. Competitive compensation is offered for this touring contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of live sound experience in touring or large productions.
• Advanced knowledge of digital mixing consoles, playback systems, mics, RF coordination, and in-ear monitoring.
• Experience leading, training, or managing technical teams in a touring environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Audio Department to achieve the creative intent for every performance.
• Oversee sound console operations during performances, rehearsals, and maintenance.
• Mentor MIT and Audio team in setup, calibration, and repair of sound systems.
• Collaborate with venues and touring staff to ensure safe listening levels and optimal mixes.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and system configurations for venues.
