As a Tour Guide, you will provide engaging and informative tours to a diverse range of guests, ensuring they have a memorable and enriching experience. The ideal Tour Guide is passionate about Seattle’s history, conservation, and Indigenous cultures. About the Seattle Waterfront History Tour and Other Tours

Global Family Travels and the HistoryLink.org’s collaborative Waterfront Tour delves into the rich and complex history of Seattle’s Central Waterfront which has been transformed in recent years with the development of the new Waterfront Park, creating vibrant public spaces, pedestrian-friendly paths, and environmental sustainability features. This tour highlights the area's evolution, shaped by natural and human forces, and emphasizes recent waterfront improvements, conservation efforts, and the rich Indigenous culture and art of the region. Participants will embark on an urban hike from the new Overlook Walk near Pike Place Market to the historic site of Sdzidzilalitch, a Duwamish village, now part of Pioneer Square. Highlights include the Alaskan Way Seawall, newly designed piers and parks, Indigenous artwork, historic maritime artifacts, the arrival site of Klondike gold in 1897, and remnants of the waterfront’s railroad era. See Website page here with more tour dates coming soon!

We are also hiring guides for other tours listed on our Seattle Community Tours website page, including the History Hike of the Newcastle Coal mines and our Seattle Street Art tour.
