With an unrivaled collection of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and memorabilia, a 20-acre, park-like campus, and a calendar full of activities, the H-D Museum is one of Milwaukee, WI's top tourist destinations for visitors from around the globe. Job Summary


The Visitor Experience Associate (VEA) will be the first point of contact for Harley-Davidson Museum visitors and will be responsible for providing a positive, enjoyable experience for all visitors. This integral member of our Museum team will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the Museum. The VEA will demonstrate superior customer service both in person and on the phone and be able to conduct visitor transactions/interactions in a professional manner. The VEA will be responsible for imparting knowledge about the Museum, conducting sales transactions (cash handling), maintaining work environment, and assisting with various customer-facing activities.



Key Responsibilities



  • Previous experience in a customer-facing work environment is preferred.

  • General knowledge of computer operations and experience working with a point of sale (POS) system required.

  • Possess sales skills that will contribute to achieving sales goals.

  • Requires outstanding customer service skills with the ability to understand and resolve visitor questions orissues.

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to handle cash accurately in a fast-paced environment is essential.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously and work calmly in a dynamic environment.

  • Must be willing to learn and perform all aspects of day-to-day operations job responsibilities/duties and assist with any area of the visitor experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while providing exemplary one-on-one assistance to visitors required.

  • Some knowledge of Harley-Davidson history and brand a plus.

  • Flexibility in schedule is required including weekends, holidays and evenings as required by the business.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED/HSED is required (must be 18 years or older).


Experience Requirements



  • Experience working in a customer-facing role; ideally in a retail environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high attention to detail.

  • A comfort level with computers and ability to learn a point of sale system (i.e. processing credit cards and cash).

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
