San Diego Bike & Kayak Tours, Inc. is seeking tour guides to lead bike, kayak and snorkel tours. Applicants must be willing and able to do all tours.
We are hiring for both full and part time positions. This is perfect for candidates that have ocean experience and love being on the water!
We are hiring/training now for seasonal positions and are looking for applicants that can work now through Labor Day but prefer candidates that can work through October. This is a seasonal position with the majority of hours available during the summer months.
We prefer candidates that are able to work weekends and all summer holidays.

Ideal Candidate: energetic, athletic, water-savvy, surfing/kayak experience, ocean awareness/experience, talkative, outgoing, leadership qualities, polite, well-spoken, good driving record, athletic, able to load kayaks safely/efficiently, responsible, and has qualifying work experience.
Duties: Safely guide enjoyable bike, kayak, and snorkel tours (2-3 tours daily) with an emphasis on customer enjoyment, safety, relevant and thorough dialogue, and adapt to the day’s conditions and the customers abilities. Tour guides will assist with loading/unloading kayaks and other equipment, phone duties, wetsuit sizing, daily driving company vehicles to deliver equipment to the beach and general customer service in the store such as passing out life vests and helmets, cleaning equipment after usage, sizing wetsuits for customers and providing rental gear as needed to guests.
California Driver’s License (and good driving record) preferred since the usage of companty vehicles is needed to transport equipment to the beach.
Certification Prerequisites: Current, valid CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification and First Aid certification (both issued by American Red Cross). If hired, you must have these before first day of work in order to start training or be registered to complete these prerquisite certifications.
Part time and full time guiding positions are available. Weekend availability preferred.
