EF Education First Ltd. in Massachusetts is seeking energetic sales professionals to join a high-energy team focused on outbound calls to travelers and building customer acquisition and retention strategies for Go Ahead Tours.

Scholars can leverage the Sales Development Program to gain training in sales, product, marketing and industry trends, with mentorship and opportunities for growth within a global leader in travel.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal communication and influencing skills.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience or a 4-year degree.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage your book of business while bringing in new business.
  • Maintain high outreach and follow-up phone conversations.
  • Average 100+ calls and 3 hours of phone time per day.
  • Use consultative selling techniques to prospect and generate product interest.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Develop an integrated sales strategy to achieve goals.
  • Weekend work 1-2 days/month plus a weekday off when weekend work is done.
  • Late shifts 1-2 days/month from 11:30 am to 8 pm MT.

For consideration, applicants must live/relocate to the state of Massachusetts or within commutable distance to our Cambridge, MA office. Enjoy the flexibility of working from home on Fridays, while collaborating in the office from Monday through Thursday.


The Role

As a member of our high energy, collaborative and competitive sales team, you will play a critical role in developing customer acquisition and retention strategies while simultaneously identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience. Your daily activities will involve making outbound sales calls to potential travelers who have expressed interest in group travel through our website and marketing efforts. Additionally, you will help maintain interest by continuing the relationship with our past loyal travelers in booking their next Go Ahead Tour.


No Sales experience? No problem. Our Sales Development Program is designed for those who are both launching a new career in sales and those who want to build upon existing sales skills and techniques. Our goal is to create strong salespeople and instill lasting skills that you can carry with you throughout your career. Benefits of the program include training in sales, product, marketing and industry trends, coaching in consultative selling techniques, presentations, public speaking and dedicated mentorship.   • Average 100+ calls and 3 hours of phone time per day

  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to prospect and initiate product interest

  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals

  • Develop an integrated sales strategy to accomplish your goals

  • Weekend Work: 1-2 days/month - Take a weekday off when you work a weekend day

  • Late Shift Work: 1-2 days/month - Late shifts will be from 11:30 am - 8 pm MT

  • Strong verbal communication and influencing skills (must be able to connect with a diverse range of individuals via telephone)

  • Naturally strong sales instincts: you can recognize and capitalize on buying signals that customers display

  • Driven and competitive mindset that has you intrinsically motivated to hit goals

  • Demonstrates personal accountability, self-awareness, and student mentality

  • Adept in problem-solving skills

  • Ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work while collaborating with a team

  • You are flexible, with the ability to pivot quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have at least 4 years of relevant work experience or a 4-year degree

  • Compensation: First-year Tour Consultants have an on-target earning potential of $62,000 (base salary starting at $50,000 and $12,000 bonus potential). In addition, there is uncapped bonus for exceeding sales goals. OTE increases to $72,000 after 12 months. You are eligible for a promotion to Senior Tour Consultant after 2 years of successfully exceeding goals and excellent
