Job Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Tour Bus Driver to join our team at the Grand Canyon North Rim. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting visitors on guided tours, providing informative commentary, and ensuring a memorable experience for all passengers.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Safely operate tour buses along designated routes within the Grand Canyon North Rim.
  • Provide engaging and informative commentary about the Grand Canyon's history, geology, flora, and fauna.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the tour.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and park regulations.
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with tour guides, park staff, and passengers.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with ability to obtain DOT Certification (facilitated by Aramark)
  • Clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a bus driver or tour guide preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of the Grand Canyon and its surroundings is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to assist passengers and handle emergency situations.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
