Industrial in Wichita, KS is seeking a Painter I to join the Production team. The role involves applying paint to parts to meet quality and finish specifications, maintaining touch-up booth equipment, and performing coating repairs.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in manufacturing, and 1+ year painting experience with touch-up techniques. 1st shift, 7am-3pm, with a pay rate of 23.22/hr.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 1+ years of experience operating painting equipment or working on a paint line.
• Proven ability to use proper touch-up techniques.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint to parts and assemblies to meet required quality and finish specifications.
• Maintain equipment in a touch-up booth and determine the proper method and degree of rework needed for satisfactory finished units, parts, and assemblies.
• Perform coating repairs using hand tools and accepted touch-up painting procedures.
• Apply top coat paints on parts previously painted while still in the wet coating stage—without flaws.
• Support housekeeping practices and perform all tasks within safety guidelines and company policies.
