Hentzen Coatings, Inc. - Touch Up Manufacturing Operator

Hentzen is a distinguished company with a rich history since 1923, specializing in innovative coatings for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. We are seeking a dedicated Touch Up Manufacturing Operator for the 1st shift (6:30am - 3pm).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assemble and connect equipment to fill containers to specified weights.
  2. Prepare labels, assemble containers, and apply labels per standards.
  3. Accurately complete documentation and input data into computer systems.
  4. Identify product and batch numbers.
  5. Transport finished products to shipping.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment, following safety procedures.
  7. Handle hazardous materials with proper PPE, and participate in hazardous waste disposal training.
  8. Adhere to all safety, quality, and work regulations.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; additional training is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of coatings and manufacturing equipment; 3-12 months experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills, including unit conversions.
  • Forklift certification and experience with automated equipment are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to handle large volumes and multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with tools like calculators, scales, and basic hand tools is preferred.

Work Environment:

Must be able to stand, walk, handle objects, and lift up to 65 lbs. PPE such as safety shoes, glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms are required. Vision and physical capabilities should meet job demands.
