Job description

Total Rewards Director Patriot Growth Insurance Services | Remote, United States | Full-Time

Why This Role Matters

Patriot Growth Insurance Services is building a modern, business-aligned HR function, and Total Rewards is a critical part of that transformation. Reporting to the Vice President, Talent, Transformation & Technology (VP, T3), the Total Rewards Director will define and execute how we structure roles, reward talent, and design programs that support growth, retention, and employee success across a rapidly expanding organization.

This is a unique opportunity to build foundational Total Rewards infrastructure while partnering closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and business leaders across the enterprise. As the company's Total Rewards leader, you will connect compensation, job architecture, benefits strategy, and workforce analytics into a scalable framework that supports both business performance and employee experience.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Design and maintain scalable compensation programs, including salary structures, pay ranges, incentive frameworks, and market-based pay practices that support organizational growth.
  • Lead compensation operations, including job evaluations, offer guidance, promotions, market adjustments, and internal equity reviews that drive consistent and informed decisions.
  • Build and operationalize a company-wide job architecture, including job families, career levels, titles, and compensation alignment.
  • Partner with Finance and HR leaders on annual compensation planning, developing tools, recommendations, and communications that balance market competitiveness and fiscal responsibility.
  • Shape the evolution of the company's benefits strategy through analysis of employee feedback, utilization trends, market data, and business needs.
  • Develop reporting and analytics that provide visibility into pay equity, market positioning, compensation distribution, workforce trends, and program effectiveness.
  • Establish governance, processes, and tools that allow Total Rewards programs to scale effectively as the organization continues to grow.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the business, helping navigate complex compensation, leveling, and rewards decisions with consistency and sound judgment.
Who You Are

A builder who is energized by creating structure, programs, and tools where little exists today. Comfortable operating as both strategist and executor, moving seamlessly between vision, analysis, and hands-on implementation. Business-minded and commercially aware, able to balance employee needs, market realities, and financial considerations. A systems thinker who understands how compensation, benefits, career growth, and data work together to support organizational success. An influential partner who can bring stakeholders together, frame trade-offs, and drive decisions without direct authority. Detail-oriented and disciplined, with high standards for data integrity, process excellence, and documentation. A trusted professional who approaches confidential and sensitive matters with integrity, discretion, and sound judgment. Skilled at communicating complex rewards concepts in a way that is practical, clear, and accessible to managers and employees alike.

What You Bring

Day One:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with significant responsibility in compensation, total rewards, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs, including salary structures, pay ranges, job evaluations, market pricing, and incentive programs.
  • Experience building or maturing compensation frameworks within a scaling, multi-site organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools used to analyze and present workforce data.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Finance, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on compensation and workforce decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and make enterprise-level recommendations without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex rewards concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Experience balancing market competitiveness, internal equity, budget considerations, and business strategy when advising leaders on pay decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Valuable Additions:

  • Experience within insurance, financial services, brokerage, or another multi-site, client-facing organization.
  • Experience supporting HR modernization efforts, including job architecture, HR systems, process design, and rewards program development.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and workforce analytics tools.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CCP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other relevant credentials.
