Job summary

FirstEnergy in Akron, OH is seeking an analyst to provide analytical, financial, and regulatory support across the Total Rewards Health & Welfare programs. This role combines deep program knowledge with forecasting and reporting to inform strategic decisions.

You will partner with Benefits, Finance, Accounting, Rates, vendors, and internal stakeholders to turn program data into actionable insights and recommendations. A strong Excel and budgeting skill set is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience supporting Health & Welfare or Total Rewards.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with interpretation of data.
• Budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, or variance analysis.
• Proficient in Excel and large data handling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Health & Welfare data to identify trends and insights.
• Develop dashboards and executive summaries of program performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and vendors to ensure accurate reporting.
• Prepare business cases for benefit changes and investments.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and compliance tasks.
