Job summary
MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon to join a dynamic team focused on joint preservation, replacement and revision procedures. You will work with physicians, APPs, physical therapists and nurses to restore function and improve quality of life for patients with degenerative joint conditions.
The position features a base compensation of $854,401.00, competitive benefits, sign-on/relocation, CME, retirement, malpractice tail.
Qualifications
- Board certified/eligible at time of employment.
- Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment.
- DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Orthopedic - Adult Reconstruction Fellowship or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with joint-related disorders, osteoarthritis, and musculoskeletal injuries
- Perform total joint replacement procedures (e.g., hip, knee, +/- shoulder), including primary and revision surgeries
- Utilize minimally invasive and evidence-based surgical techniques
- Educate patients on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and non-surgical treatment alternatives
- Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists to plan comprehensive post-op recovery strategies
- Participate in on-call rotation with the orthopedic provider team
- Document clinical encounters accurately, maintaining compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
