Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a fellowship-trained orthopedic team focused on total joint and adult reconstruction in Sun City West, AZ. You will split time between clinic, OR, and inpatient care, with autonomy in patient management and collaborative support from a surgeon.

Expect a busy role with 1.5 days per week in the OR, a shared call rotation, competitive benefits, and opportunities to develop specialty expertise in total joint

Qualifications

• One year of surgical experience required.
• Graduates of PA/NP programs eligible for licensure in AZ.
• Arizona PA license and NCCPA certification required; NP license and certification also required.
• RN First Assist training per AORN Standards is required for first-assist duties.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through histories, exams, and assessment of health status and progression.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic orthopedic conditions within APP scope.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostics; develop plans with supervising surgeon.
• Maintain an independent outpatient clinic schedule covering new and follow-up patients.
• Administer injections and perform procedures, including wound care and suturing.
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room with first-assist responsibilities as credentialed.
• Round in hospital; coordinate inpatient and postoperative care; participate in call rotation.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and recovery.

Education

Accredited PA/NP program

Arizona PA license + NCCPA

Arizona RN license + APRN license

National NP certification

RN First Assist per AORN

CPR and ACLS certification
