Job summary

El Super, part of the Chedraui USA family, is hiring a Tortilleria Clerk for the Mesa #53 store. You will help customers, maintain tortilla displays, and assist in masa preparation in a fast-paced grocery setting.

We seek friendly, reliable individuals who can lift up to 60 pounds, read labels, and communicate clearly with customers and team members. The position offers a starting rate of $16.50 per hour and opportunities to grow within the store network.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide friendly, courteous service and assist customers.
• Clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, and assist making a variety of tortillas and masa.
• Work in a fast-paced grocery environment with physical requirements like lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling.
