El Super is hiring a Tortilleria Clerk (#27 South Gate) to deliver friendly customer service, stock tortillas, and assist with masa preparation in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence and communicate clearly with customers.
• Present information to customers and colleagues in a courteous manner.
• Lift up to 60 pounds on occasion and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers at the Tortilleria area.
• Maintain tortilla displays, fill and rotate stock, and assist making tortillas and masa.
• Keep workstation clean and organized in a fast-paced grocery setting.

What You'll Bring

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

It Would Be Extra Awesome if you brought...

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
