Job summary

Fiesta Mart, part of the Chedraui USA family, is seeking a Tortilleria Clerk for Store 070 Carrollton. The role supports the Tortilleria department, helps customers, assists with tortilla and masa production, and maintains displays in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Strong Spanish/English communication and physical ability to lift items are essential; prior retail experience and a Retail Management Certificate are a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short notes.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, often 45 lbs, occasionally 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers.
• Clean and rotate tortilla displays; assist making various tortillas and masa.
• Assist customers and support store operations in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
