Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado in Irving, TX seeks a Tortilla Molinero to keep the tortilla department well stocked and neatly merchandised while delivering friendly, attentive service.

You will operate tortilla machinery, prepare and package products, maintain freshness and sanitation, and support inventory. Bilingual English/Spanish and a valid Food Handler Card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen skills; tortilleria department experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate tortilla processor/machinery.
• Prepare, package, and label tortillas, chips, tostadas and other products in the department.
• Maintain product freshness and stock levels.
• Order inventory and ensure cooler temperature logs.
• Drive customer service and assist customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.

Position Summary

The Tortilla Molinero is responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. The individual will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product on a daily basis while maintaining company core values.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Proven track of providing excellent results, shows persistence and perseverance;
• Dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers. Demonstrates care and compassion for people; shows empathy and concern. Able to build and maintain positive team relationships, relates well to diverse people; is approachable;
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions and food safety;
• Operates Tortilla processor/machinery;
• Count, bag, and label tortilla batches;
• Drive customer service
• Maintain product freshness
• Order inventory
• Make & package tortillas, chips, tostadas and all other products in the department
• Ensure coolers are cleaned and organized and maintain cooler temperature logs
• Maintain cleanliness of tortilla machinery
• All other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrates personal Customer Service excellence. Engages with customers always;
• Improves speed and efficiency of service provided.
