Job summary

Tony's Fresh Markets in the community seeks a Tortilla Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity and teamwork.

You will help keep the tortillas area clean, stocked, and organized, ensure product freshness, and assist with in-department duties as described. A high school diploma, basic kitchen skills, a valid Food Handlers Card, and English/Spanish bilingual abilities are preferred.

• Basic kitchen skills; tortilleria department experience a plus.
• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tortilla Clerk delivers quality customer service in a retail store environment. The individual is expected to be a role model of the company by delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company core values. The clerk maintains inventory and department cleanliness for the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Drive customer service
• Maintain product freshness
• Order inventory
• Package tortillas, chips, tostadas and all other products in the department
• Ensure coolers are cleaned and organized
• Maintain cooler temperature logs
• Maintain cleanliness of tortilla machine

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Basic kitchen skills; tortilleria department experience a plus.

• WALKING: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
• STANDING: Continuously, throughout shift.
• LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

The pay scale above is the hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
*Manager roles have a bonus target potential paid out quarterly based on company results/metrics.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including,
but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
