Duties include handling discovery, depositions, motions, and coordinating with insurers, experts, and staff while mentoring junior attorneys and developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the hiring jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience with exposure to tort defense.
• Experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of tort and civil defense matters, including personal injury and mass tort claims.
• Conduct factual and legal investigations, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Develop and implement case strategy, including liability and damages analysis.
• Represent clients at depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers, expert witnesses, and outside vendors.
• Handle motion practice, legal research, and drafting of briefs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and team members.
• Supervise paralegals and junior attorneys; participate in business development and continued legal education.

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience working with insurance carriers.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Comfortable supervising support staff and mentoring junior attorneys.

Education
