This Lapeer-based company is hiring Tornos Machine Operators for 1st Shift, from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Pay is based on experience. Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• Operation of a Tornos machine is an asset. Previous machine experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Mechanical aptitude, ability to do math, measurements, and use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers) are necessary.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and seek long-term employment.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Previous experience with Tornos or other lathes used for manufacturing metal parts. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
2. Measure dimensions of finished work to ensure specifications are met.
3. Load material into the machine.
4. Maintain a high level of quality control.
5. Ensure excellent attendance.
6. Have some long-term work history.
7. Be able to work overtime.
8. Stand at workstations for 10-12 hours if necessary.
9. Some lifting may be required.
