Job summary

W. Silver is seeking a warehouse/machine operator to perform safe operation of equipment and follow WSR procedures in processing materials. The role includes pre/post inspections, reporting concerns, and maintaining PPE compliance.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, the ability to work in extreme weather, and routine documentation of weights and production information. Enthusiastic teamwork and reliability are essential for this full-time job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable and safe operation of assigned equipment to process materials according to WSR procedures.
• Perform routine pre & post inspections on equipment as per instructions; reporting any unsatisfactory results to supervisor
• Report any damage to company property including racking, trailers, equipment
• Use all job-specific PPE as prescribed and provided by the company
• Reduce the size of metal objects using flame cutting/torching in a timely and effective manner
• Dismantle machinery via mechanical means, segregate material by type
• May weigh products or materials and record weight and other product information
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately and legibly in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Physical demands: walking, standing, bending, lifting over 50 pounds; work in heat, cold, and rain
• Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday; weekends as needed
• Travel: No travel expected
• Other duties: duties may change at any time with or without notice.

Accurate, legible, and timely completion of paperwork, tally sheets, and/or reports

Maintain clean and organized work area

Physical Demands Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, climbs stairs, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.Will work in extreme weather conditions including heat, cold and rain.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary on a need basis.

Travel No travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience Warehouse experience, handling and sorting material
