R-2 Contractors is seeking an experienced Topcon GPS/GNSS Trainer to provide hands‑on instruction and technical support across nationwide construction projects. This role supports construction layout, field data collection, digital modeling, and GPS machine‑control systems, helping teams use Topcon technology efficiently.

The successful candidate will combine advanced data collector proficiency, machine‑control expertise, and training skills, with 75–100% travel.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Topcon GPS/GNSS equipment and data collectors.
• Experience with machine-control technology and calibration.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, surfaces and digital models.
• Willingness to travel nationwide 75–100%.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and field training on Topcon GPS/GNSS systems.
• Train surveyors, operators, foremen; tailor instruction.
• Support project setup, data import/export, and point control.
• Train crews in machine-control setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with loading and verifying 3D models and machine-control files; troubleshoot GNSS reception and related components.
• Document recurring technical issues and develop procedures to improve field productivity.
• Collaborate with project managers, survey teams, and technology providers to resolve issues.
