Unknown Firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Transactional Real Estate Practice in New York/New Jersey. The role focuses on sophisticated real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing, with direct client contact and collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and a proven ability to manage complex deals from start to finish.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 2–4 years of substantive real estate transactions experience (acquisitions, dispositions, leasing).
• Experience with real estate debt and/or equity matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated real estate transaction documents (purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents).
• Conduct legal due diligence (title and survey review) and manage closing processes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business goals and provide strategic legal advice.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Support partners and senior attorneys on complex real estate matters for institutional clients.
