Job summary

HRB in the Washington, D.C. area is seeking a mid-level Windows Systems Administrator with 5–10 years of DoD experience. The role focuses on managing Windows Server 2016–2022 and Windows 11 endpoints in secure, classified environments.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance. Knowledge of DISA STIGs, RMF, and NIST 800-53 is highly valued, along with DoD security standards compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Windows Systems Administration experience
• Experience supporting DoD or Federal IT environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016+ and Windows 11
• Hands‑on experience with DISA STIGs and SCAP tools
• Familiarity with RMF and NIST 800-53 – Highly Desired
• Experience working in controlled or classified environments

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments
• Support Windows 11 Enterprise endpoints
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and trusts
• Implement and remediate DISA STIGs
• Conduct SCAP scans and vulnerability remediation
• Support RMF activities and POA&M remediation
• Perform system patching, monitoring, and incident response
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations
• Participate in change management and CCB processes
• Maintain system documentation and accreditation artifacts
