Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• PSS must be favorably adjudicated for a Top-Secret Clearance position.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience adjudicating suitability and national security background investigations.
• Ability to apply high technical knowledge to personnel security programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate security applications for personnel security processing.
• Initiate investigative processing based on position sensitivity and clearance level.
• Conduct pre-employment checks (CVS, DISS, JVS, credit and citizenship checks).
• Verify existing security clearance access and prior investigation files.
• Adjudicate reports of investigation and personnel files for clearance eligibility.
• Use Security Case Management Systems and databases (OPM NP2 Portal, PIPS, CVS, DHS ISMS).
• Analyze data and apply applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal and external personnel to support the personnel security program.
• Process SEAD 3 reporting and CE program reports.
• Review fitness pre-appointment packages and provide risk-based recommendations.
