Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks an Information Security Representative to ensure security compliance for Special Programs. Responsibilities include applying NISPOM, ICD directives, SCI and SAP knowledge, and developing SOPs, EAPs, and security plans.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration with DoD and government partners, and experience with PARs/VARs, personnel security, and DISS. Moderate travel and on-site duties are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years in related security field with experience working in secure spaces.
• Final TOP SECRET Clearance based on a T5 Background investigation with SCI eligibility.
• Security certifications ICD705 and CNSSAM 1-13 are required.
• Pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Communicate security guidance with project leadership, customers, vendors and suppliers.
• Support fast-paced, high-profile programs under the special program portfolio in secure environments.
• Apply knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, SCI and SAP manuals.
• Develop and implement SOP, EAP, Security Transportation and Test plans.
• Maintain document/media control records and asset accountability.
• Investigate security violations and prepare findings with preventive actions.
• Handle personnel security clearance management and DISS awareness.
• Process PARs and Visit Authorization Forms (VARs).
• Assist with meetings, visitor badges, and clearance verification; interact with DoD.
• Provide foreign travel briefings (Pre and Post).
• Manage UL2050 alarm systems, containers, access and key control policies.
• Conduct annual inventories and security reviews for accountability.
• Support IA/IT security personnel with risk-managed processes.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and self-starting teamwork.
• Maintain time management and deliver quality security training.
• Deliver security indoctrination briefings and annual refreshers.
