Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an IT Security Engineer with deep enterprise security experience to support classified networks. You will implement strong authentication, SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management, while collaborating with IT teams to harden services and enforce least privilege.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, hands-on security operations, and a proactive, self-motivated mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or another STEM discipline or 4+ years of professional IT security experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience securing traditional IT environments (identity/MFA, endpoint security, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, email or file services).
• Experience administering or operating at least two of the following: on-premises SIEM, enterprise EDR/AV, enterprise vulnerability management platform.
• Active Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT admins and engineers to design, deploy, and support security solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Design, deploy, and operate security controls for classified networks, including authentication/identity services, on-prem SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
• Harden traditional IT services (email, file shares, directory services, collaboration tools) and adjust permissions to reduce standing privilege.
• Lead or support detection, triage, and incident response for the classified IT environment.
• Develop and follow standards for systems design, testing, and implementation; drive automation for security tasks.
