Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, seeks a Network Engineer – Level 3 or 4 to join the BMDS OPIR Architecture teams. You will help manage and sustain critical network components for both classified and unclassified environments.

The role demands strong knowledge of routing, TCP/IP, and network testing, plus excellent written and oral communication. Travel up to 10% is expected; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years related experience, or Master’s in STEM with 3 years; or 9 years of related work as alternative.
• Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
• Must hold current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Excellent written and presentation skills using PowerPoint and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test network architectures.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network devices.
• Support high-availability networks across classified and unclassified segments.
• Provide documentation and diagrams in Visio.
• Assist with after-hours program activities and testing.
