Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Threat Hunter to proactively hunt ARNG networks, endpoints, and datasets for malicious activity. You will use threat-hunting techniques guided by MITRE ATT&CK to identify gaps and improve detection capabilities.

You will analyze host, network, and application logs with Elastic and Splunk, assess cyber risks, and report findings to senior leadership. Onsite at Falls Church, VA with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training, and work experience.
• 6–8 years of cybersecurity-related experience.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive hunts across ARNG enterprise networks, endpoints, and datasets to detect malicious activities.
• Use MITRE ATT&CK framework to identify and prioritize detection gaps.
• Evaluate cyber risks targeting ARNG technologies and workforce.
• Use logging/analytics platforms (Elastic, Splunk) to analyze logs.
• Develop and deliver risk analyses and threat reports to senior leadership.
