Job summary

Fusion ICS, LLC is seeking a Communications Engineering Technician to oversee the installation, testing, and labeling of campus communications systems including fiber, CAT6, Wi‑Fi, DAS, and security systems. The role requires US citizenship and active Top-Secret clearance eligibility, with project-based responsibilities across federal facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and recent civilian or military experience.
• 5 years of experience in communications infrastructure, implementation, construction quality control, or infrastructure management.
• Experience with DoW construction projects, military facilities, or government contracting.
• Certification(s) in BICSI RCDD, FOA, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review and enforce construction drawings, including quality control.
• Conduct site inspections to evaluate conditions, oversee contractor execution.
• Ensure projects comply with federal, DoW, and engineering standards for safety and performance.
• Manage the three-phase quality management process to verify compliance at all project stages.
• Review design and oversee deployment of fiber optic and structured cabling systems across new construction and existing facilities.
• Oversee implementation of communications distribution plans meeting industry standards.
• Oversee installation of telephone communications including VoIP, Wi‑Fi, Security ACS, IDS, and cameras.
• Assess campus-wide needs for network bandwidth and security.
• Develop and maintain technical reports, engineering documentation, and QAQC records.
• Create and maintain a QAQC Tracking List with dates and details of all incidents.
• Participate in meetings, site briefings, and contract performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with codes such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, IEEE, OSHA, and local codes.
