Job summary

INCATech in Springfield, VA is seeking a CI/CD Platform Automation Engineer (DevOps) to design and deploy high‑performance, secure pipelines for Esri technology across cloud and on‑premises environments. You will collaborate with software developers and cloud engineers to ensure repeatable, secure deployments.

The role focuses on automation, SBOMs, containerized workflows, and scalable build infrastructure with an onsite-first policy. A Top Secret clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or similar).
• Experience with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar IaC frameworks.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and containerized workflows.
• Ability to write and optimize Dockerfiles and support container-based deployments.
• Understanding of artifact management, dependency management, and secure build practices.
• Familiarity with SBOM tools and artifact signing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), especially Compute services, Storage services (S3, Blob Storage).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, DevOps, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, secure CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native workflows and on-premises build automation.
• Architect and optimize Docker environments to ensure consistent build/test runners.
• Lead design of Python package creation processes; manage Conda recipes and environments.
• Build and manage underlying build infrastructure with automated provisioning for high availability.
• Implement automated security gatekeeping, SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, and license compliance.
• Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track build performance and run automated testing.
• Eliminate manual bottlenecks by moving workflows to everything-as-code.
• Oversee lifecycle of third-party dependencies to ensure a secure supply chain.
