Job summary

GeoAcuity is seeking a CI/CD & Platform Automation Engineer to design and develop high-performance, secure, automated pipelines for Esri technology in the cloud and on-premises. You will partner with software developers and cloud engineers to ensure reliable integration and delivery of enterprise GIS solutions.

Responsibilities include building fast CI/CD pipelines, Docker environments, Conda environments, and automated security gatekeeping.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of DevOps/CI/CD or platform automation experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines).
• Experience with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform.
• Familiarity with Linux, containers, and writing Dockerfiles.
• Understanding of SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, and secure build practices.
• Exposure to AWS/Azure cloud platforms and artifact management.
• US citizenship with Active or Current TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, DevOps, or related field.

• Architect and optimize Docker environments for reproducible build/test runners.
• Manage Conda recipes and environments for ArcGIS API distribution.

• Implement automated security gatekeeping including SBOMs and vulnerability scanning.
• Design monitoring frameworks to track build performance and regressions.
• Eliminate manual bottlenecks by moving workflows to everything-as-code.
• Oversee lifecycle of third-party dependencies for supply chain security.

POSITION SUMMARY

GeoAcuity is seeking a CI/CD & Platform Automation Engineer to design and develop high-performance, secure, and automated pipelines for deployment of Esri technology in the cloud and on-premises. You will partner closely with software developers and cloud engineers to ensure reliable integration and delivery of enterprise GIS solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement, and maintain high-speed CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps and Jenkins for cross-platform build automation

Architect and optimize Docker environments for consistent, reproducible build/test runners across the development lifecycle

Manage complex Conda recipes and environments for seamless distribution of the ArcGIS API and its dependencies

Build and manage build infrastructure (runners, nodes, registries) using automated provisioning

Implement automated security gatekeeping including SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, and license compliance

Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track build performance and identify regressions before release

Identify and eliminate manual bottlenecks by transitioning legacy workflows to modern everything-as-code processes

Oversee the lifecycle of third-party dependencies to ensure supply chain security

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation (including internships, open-source, or academic projects)

Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or similar)

Experience with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions

Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar IaC frameworks

Familiarity with Linux environments, containerized workflows, and writing/optimizing Dockerfiles

Understanding of artifact management, dependency management, SBOM tools, and secure build practices

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) including compute and storage services

US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years) Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, DevOps, or related field (or equivalent experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience automating backend systems and operational workflows

Familiarity with release engineering and deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, etc.)

Experience integrating security scanning into pipelines (SAST/DAST, container scanning)

Exposure to Kubernetes-based delivery environments and DevSecOps practices

CompTIA Security+ certification

Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
