Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cable Technician to install and document inside plant cabling at the Pentagon, Mark Center, and surrounding NCR facilities. This onsite role requires adherence to DISA J6 ETM - NG standards and thorough documentation of all work.

The position involves copper, fiber, and VOIP cabling, testing, and maintenance, with emphasis on safety and accuracy. Requires Associate’s Degree, 3+ years’ experience, and Active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Familiarity with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to work with power tools and ladders.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and document new and updated Inside Plant cable infrastructure (copper, fiber, VOIP) in the Pentagon, Mark Center and NCR buildings.
• Perform move, add, change activities related to copper cabling, VOIP, and fiber infrastructure.
• Install, maintain and repair voice and data communications systems.
• Interpret cabling cutsheets, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Test, locate, install, and repair cabling infrastructure and verify service.
