Job summary

St. Michael's Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Budget Analyst to support a DoD client on-site at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.

The role involves using automated financial systems to meet budget objectives, produce reports, and advise program managers on funds availability. The ideal candidate has a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, a finance/accounting degree, and at least three years' DoD FMR/DFAS experience along with DTS and GPC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business management.
• At least three years of DoD FMR/DFAS experience and knowledge.
• Experience with Defense Travel System and Government Purchase Card Program.

Responsibilities

• Use automated financial management systems to accomplish budget objectives.
• Confirm accuracy of system data and notify officials of issues or variances.
• Produce financial reports, plans, schedules and maintain systems.
• Allocate funds based on budget estimates and historical data.
• Review obligations, expenditures, and requests for allotments.
• Compute receipt, obligation and expenditure rates; advise on fund availability.
• Evaluate cost/program changes on budget execution and productivity.
• Identify reprogramming needs and adjust funding targets as needed.
• Support Travel System (DTS) processes and provide training as required.
